Hi Fifth Grade Family,
I am so excited to be here with you on this amazing adventure of learning! This is my eleventh year teaching in Bullitt County, I am from a small town in Ohio and moved to Kentucky for college and stayed because I loved it. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Berea College and started teaching. After beginning my career, I discovered my passion for teaching reading and pursued it further. I earned my Master's degree from IUS with a concentration in literacy. I am also very passionate about creating a comfortable classroom community of learners who support, challenge, and care for one another. I am the mom to twin girls who are 6 years old, They are super sweet, and totally wild. My husband, Tony, has kept me on my toes for 13 years because he is just as wild as the girls. I love to watch comedy movies and history documentaries, read all kinds of books, collect tropical plants and antiques, and drink lots of coffee.
